Due to it's reflectivity, durability and range of available colours, finishes and textures, it is no surprise that glass beads are the most valued and widely used type of beads. Dyes used in glass beads are fused within the glass and are therefore highly resistant to fading or discolouring. Finishes, however, may wear naturally with time.
